Abstract

Remote sensing has revolutionized environmental monitoring, resource management, and disaster response. Recent advancements in sensor technology, data processing, and arti fi cial intelligence have expanded its potenti al applicati ons and accuracy. This review examines the emerging trends in remote sensing, focusing on technological innovati ons, new applicati ons, and future directi ons. The integrati on of big data analyti cs, miniaturized sensors, and AI-driven models has further enhanced the capabiliti es of remote sensing systems. Moreover, novel platf orms such as CubeSats and drones are making high-resoluti on data accessible to a broader audience. This arti cle also explores the ethical and sustainability challenges that accompany these advancements, providing insights into the evolving landscape of remote sensing.
