The contemporary business landscape is increasingly influenced by rapid technological
innovation, changing workforce demographics, and evolving employee expectations. In
response, organizations are adopting strategic approaches to talent acquisition and human capital
development to maintain competitive advantage. This review synthesizes empirical and
theoretical studies on emerging trends and best practices in human capital management,
including skills-based hiring, artificial intelligence (AI) in recruitment, human capital analytics,
diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), remote and hybrid work models, and continuous learning
initiatives. The paper also explores challenges, ethical considerations, and implications for
practitioners, policymakers, and future research.
