The global fashion industry is experiencing a transformative shift as sustainability and circular economy (CE) principles become increasingly central to addressing environmental, social, and economic challenges. This review examines the integration of circular economy strategies and sustainable management practices within the fashion sector, providing a comprehensive synthesis of contemporary literature. Key areas explored include sustainable supply chain management, the adoption of eco-friendly and innovative materials, circular design principles, waste reduction and recycling strategies, and technological innovations such as artificial intelligence, digital tools, and smart manufacturing that enable efficient resource utilization. The study also investigates consumer behavior, highlighting the influence of awareness, social norms, and consumption patterns on the adoption of sustainable fashion. Policy and regulatory frameworks are analyzed as crucial drivers for enabling industry-wide transition toward circularity. The findings indicate that implementing circular economy models enhances resource efficiency, reduces environmental footprint, and strengthens long-term competitiveness. Nevertheless, barriers such as high implementation costs, technological limitations, and consumer resistance present ongoing challenges. The review concludes by identifying future research directions, emphasizing innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and the development of robust policy mechanisms to accelerate the adoption of sustainable and circular fashion systems.
