The global apparel industry is undergoing a transformative shift as sustainability and circular economy principles become central to addressing environmental and social challenges. Traditional linear production systems have contributed to resource depletion, waste generation, and unethical labor practices. This review synthesizes existing literature on sustainable fashion management and circular economy practices, focusing on supply chain sustainability, eco-friendly materials, circular design, technological innovations, and consumer behavior. The study highlights the role of closed-loop systems, reverse logistics, and digital technologies in enabling circularity. It also examines ethical concerns and policy frameworks that influence sustainable transformation. The findings suggest that integrating circular economy principles into fashion systems enhances environmental performance and long-term competitiveness. However, challenges such as high costs, technological limitations, and consumer resistance persist. The paper concludes with future research directions aimed at fostering innovation, collaboration, and policy support for sustainable fashion systems.
