Abstract

Catalysis and reacti on engineering play pivotal roles in the development of sustainable chemical processes, offering solutions to energy challenges, environmental concerns, and the synthesis of valuable chemicals. This review highlights recent advancements in catalyti c materials, reacti on mechanisms, and engineering strategies, focusing on their implicati ons for industrial applicati ons and the pursuit of a greener, more effi cient chemical industry. We delve into the latest breakthroughs in heterogeneous catalysis, including the design of advanced nanomaterials and the explorati on of novel reacti on pathways. Additi onally, we discuss the importance of understanding reacti on mechanisms through state-of-the-art spectroscopic and computati onal techniques, as well as the implementati on of innovati ve engineering soluti ons for process intensifi cati on and energy integrati on. Through a comprehensive examinati on of recent developments and future prospects, this review aims to provide insights into the evolving landscape of catalysis and reacti on engineering, guiding researchers and practi ti oners towards impactf ul soluti ons for a sustainable future.
